Micromax Canvas Beat A114R priced judiciously

A new Micromax smartphone has been rolled out, christened the Canvas Beat A114R, and the handset has been priced at a judicious Rs 9,499, considering there are a slew of high-end features that come with the phone.

Currently, only Homeshop18 is selling the new Canvas Beat but the phone could soon go on sales at stores as well as other e-commerce sites.

The new Micromax Canvas Beat’s dimensions are 147.9 x 72.4 x 8.6 mm and the weight is around 145 grams.

The Canvas Beat has a 5-inch touchscreen with qHD resolution and comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM as well as 32 GB of expandable storage as an option.

Besides, the new Canvas Beat comes with an amazing 8 megapixel rear auto focus camera along with a 2 megapixel front camera.

The new Canvas series phone is offered with dual-SIM slots along with dual standby feature. It has 3G connectivity as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The new Canvas phone comes with FM radio along with recording facility.

The 1,900 mAh battery of the Canvas Beat allows five hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time, as per the information provided by the company.

The previous Canvas 2.2 A114 has almost ditto specifications as the new Canvas Beat. The only exception is that the new phone is a bit thicker (9.7 mm) and heavier as it has a larger battery. The older Canvas 2.2 is cheaper and currently carries a price tag of around Rs 8,500.

There are other phones below Rs 10,000 that could give the Canvas Beat A114R a run for its money. They include the Moto G, Moto E, Lava Iris X1 along with Xolo Q600s, among others.

The Micomax Canvas Beat A114R may seem to be almost a copy of the Canvas 2.2 but considering features like the storage and camera, it may be concluded that the A114R is definitely a good buy, considering it comes for below Rs 10,000.
