Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 launched in India with two new colours  - Yamaha R15 version 2.0 has been launched in two new colors in India - this is the company's new scheme to attract customers before Holi. New colors, GP Streaking Blue and Cyan, available at all dealers of Yamaha India at price of Rs 1.17 lakh which is Rs 3,000 more than the usual variants, ex-showroom Delhi.

Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 has received mechanical updates since its launch in 2011, the only change that the new color scheme and graphics. However, last year when the new color introduced by the company, the dealer also claimed that the update includes a new O2 sensor, better throttle response and a few mechanical changes.

While pre-2014 R15s available to test ride, dealers have specifically requested not to offer people with a new color scheme as a test ride a motorcycle - which, in our opinion, is not unreasonable. This new update of R15 continue without mechanical changes - it's powered by the same 17PS / 15Nm liquid cooled 150cc engine mated to a 6-speed transmission is maintained from the old model. Expect a major update to the motorcycle sometime later this year or early 2016.

Speaking on the occasion, Roy Kurian, vice president - sales and marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd said, "Yamaha R15 is an immaculate games auto planned specially for racing fans so that they can experience the power and spirit of the sportsbike has to offer. Meanwhile, the core concept of the R15 remains the same, with new colors we strive to continue to interact and raise our target audience. As we launch 2.0 on the new avatar R15 Version 2, we again very confident that this new introduction will help to keep our goals really happy. "
